Kukicha, the "3 years tea"


To make this tea, the tea twigs of 3 years of age undergo a flash roasting (less than 20 seconds) which develops the aromas, reduces the bitterness and preserves the product.

Refreshing, Kukicha's Grilled Tea offers woody, ambery aromas reminiscent of hazelnut. Its low theine content (<0.6%) makes it an ideal tea to drink from morning to evening. It can be consumed hot, warm, cold to iced while maintaining the same taste pleasure.

Trick

You can make two infusions with the same tea. The second infusion will be slightly less bodied.

use

  • 1st infusion : Infuse 4 teaspoons (5 g) of Kukicha tea in 600 ml of water at 95 ° C for 3 minutes.
  • 2nd infusion : reuse the same tea leaves and infuse again in 600 ml of water at 95 ° C for 3 minutes.
